Are we ready for a 14 bolt pinion flange?

1410 is not the interest point it is the flange for the 14FF pinion that has everyones interest peeked:D . That and it comes in 1410, 1480, and 1510:eek1:

Ira

DOH! :doah:, hate when that happens. :D I see some chatter too, hehe.
Noticed that too. Manual lathed Proto?

Standing here in the dugout it seems to me that the advantage of a flange is that it's round. No square-ish lug-y things to hang up on a rock.

Oh yea Jess, I've not forgotten to send you my yota rear driveshaft. My dd went down and......

You Might Be A CK5'er If ... your nether regions gather blood at the sound of "1550 U-Joint."

Though, jeez, at some point, the *drive shaft* becomes the weakest link / fuse... I donno, I might prefer U-Joints as fuses.

I like flanges for cool factor but can someone tell me the functional advantage over a yoke with ubolts? I think it is the fully encapsulated (if that is the proper term) Ujoint caps there fore better load distribution and less likely to spit a cap. It also looks like it would keep the joint off of things as the flange would hit it first.

How much angle can a 1410 operate at? Is it comparable to a 1350 CV?

I think it would be sweet to have a shaft with 1410 flanges on both ends:D .

Ira

1410's are good to 29 degrees...

Well it looks like I know where I'm getting my new driveline from. 1410s at the case yokes and at the axle yokes. I'm stoked!

Copied from the pirate thread:

(dana 60 is 1480)

in order From left to right- 1310, 1330, 1350, 1410, 1480.

A very important question will be "How does running the flange affect running Kurt's Guardsman pinion protection?" or ""will running the Guardsmen even be necessary anymore?"

Go figure I have Jesse's shafts front and rear, including the 1410 swapped into my 14ff out back and his 42 degree CV up front and now he is coming out with this.... Ah well, the only constant is change..........

desert, can you take some pics of your setup? i remember you posting pics of your shafts a while ago, you had the super long slip didnt you? if you could post up pics of your setup that would be great :)

what are the lengths of both of your driveshafts?

I will have to measure them when I get the rig back from the roll cage build. The front is the 42 degree CV and 1410 yoke on the D60. The rear is a 1350 CV with a 1410 yoke on the Corp14ff with the conversion yoke to swap to U-bolts instead of straps. Here are some front pics, but I can't find the rear pics right now. I will post them up when I find them.
