Are Yellow Monroe Gas Magnum Shocks Good?

Those are what I run on all my fleet trucks 1/2 ton fords to f550s. Seem decent I usually only end up changing them due to dents in the rear shock body's.
For road stuff probably. Shocks are the one thing you should spend the extra money on. Been real happy with my bilstien stuff
We also run them on our fleet. There better then a blown shock, but not by much. 
They are Better that most part store brand. On the stiff side.
That being said, the best upgrade I ever did was to go to the bilstein 4600's (hd's).
They made it ride like a new truck

+1 bilstein, ride great on my K5.
The yellow ones aren't much. I've had decent luck with the Gas Magnum and Reflex lines from Monroe. I still would go with Bilstein I think going forward though.
I got the gas magnum Monroe on the rear of my blazer,been happy with them
