I went around town seeing who would fix my body. Both of my rockers are shot, and the corner where the belts bolt to on the sides and floor, they're just holes. I can clearly see my rear cab supports on both sides of the truck.. infact, the driver's side one has seperated from the body cuz the rocker is gone. In any case, does anyone know of a place that sells the corner peice that I need? Apparently that's the only thing that needs to be fabricated. each place I went to said about $2,000 to fix it. I got the friggin truck for $1,800! One of the guys even said to just get a new tub.. but I don't think it's soo bad that it needs a new tub If anyone knows anyplace I can get the corners from, I need to know ASAP. I'm afraid the floor is gonna fall apart soon.

I actually will second the "new tub" thought unfortunately(?) I had an '83 that was rotted out where the belts bolt to the inner rear fender area, as well as the rockers rotting out. I bought a new tub for $400. To me, the welding, parts to purchase, and the TIME spent doing a body panel repair properly just wasn't worth it. I ended up buying the tub, but kept finding more and more parts, so that I built an entirely new Blazer from the "ground up". Then I turned around and sold the rotten one for $1500! Frankentruck is on my page, you can see what mods and how much stuff I have done to it...almost everything was picked up seperately.

Well, my friend said we may be able to make patches for the corners. However, we dunno what it looked like originally.. anyone have pics of a k-5 with a gutted interior?.. specifically where the belts bolt to the side/floor?

My buddy said it'll be a PIA to try to repro. the peices. So, anyone know where I can find a nice tub for a tub swap?? I need something without rot holes.

I have a line on 2 tubs one is pretty clean I haven't seen the other. The one I have seen has a custom roll cage and is set up for serious hard core but needs a dash fabricated for it. It has Jaz racing seats that are bolted to the roll cage. Set up for 4 point racing belts. It is a 77 so it would mean some custom work done on your frame for it to work. Better yet put your drive line in that frame. It even has a lift kit installed. It is bed lined and in primer for a 77 it is pretty solid. Not sure what they guy is asking for it but it is on a good frame and quite honestly if you brought a spare set of tires you could probably talk the guy out of the axles and flat tow it back to NJ. I'm not interested in it because of the roll cage. While it's a great set up this is for my wife and the cage will make rear seat entry damn near impossible and we got kids.
Now Tub 2 I may be buying. Keith located that one and I haven't heard back on it. If I buy it I will have a 79 tub that is solid for the most part but does need rockers and some body work (trail rash). No structural issues like you have and I'll be selling it cheap. It may be on a bent frame and I don't know if it could be flat towed or not. If I can make it tow able it will be on 10 bolts that I have no use for. Depending on whats on the other tub it may be fairly complete May even have fairly good doors and a usable power gate. Should bolt onto your frame without any problems.
All of these are located in fairly rust free Atlanta :)

I just finished fabing and welding the same spots at the bottom of the B post (seatbelt mounts etc) It was kind of a PIA, but worth it in the end. I'd recommend using a heavier guage metal then stock, a competent welder and LOTS of beer to dull the pain!! LOL. A good wissah and alot of discs helps alot too. Drop me a line if you need more details.

Why do people keep calling it a Bronco!!!!!

Go to a junk yard and you can get all your dimension and see what it looks like..... also it might be easier to change to a racing seat belt....4 point or a 5 point harness......
