Haven't taken my jimmy out yet to test its stock capabilities and my buddy came over tonight he has got a 79 Ford Bronco (freaking beast must say)
n he wanted to go test out his new 35's and my jimmy so we went to a spot we know as **** creek.. its all sand and a creek.. well i got stuck in 2wd switched over too 4wd and tore it up!!! all the trails here seem to be jeep trails (very skinny) hence the arizona pinstripes and then got to the creek,
well my buddy crossed it with a 4 inch lift and 35's well i backed in to the creek n crept across the creek freaking amazing thought i was going to get stuck, but made it then screamed on back to the other side =) :haha:

Well you hate to get stuck up there, but you must have brought a paddle.

That color scheme is really good on that Bronco. I've always thought the 78-79 Bronco benefits even more from a small lift and 35's than a K5 does. With stock tires those big bodies look like a hippo napping on a skateboard.

Is the Jimmy staying stock or do you have big plans?

I almost sold my Blazer for a Bronco that looked exactly like that... They were my first love for a truck when I was younger.

he is all estatic that your not hating on his bronco,
and i plan on going 4 inch with 35's as well for now, but i will do more once i have the cash flow also the interior is geting redone, tool boxes put in where side panels are extended out geting rid of arm rests and building them into the side panels with a
cup holder.

That is a sweet lookin Bronco. I always liked those too. You will find that most of this crew can appreciate just about any well built older fullsize even if it is a Ford. I think it's the "different" factor.

I take it you got your fuel pump/carb issue sorted out from a different post? What was the problem?

The 78 and 79 had good drivetrains - in some ways better than the Chevy. It's hard to hate on a 9", for example. At least it was a fair competitor in that era. Now the TTB trucks are another story (yuck).

That is a sweet looking Bronco, not a big ford guy but I dont mind those era of fords. I also liked the fact that the bronco still had the removable top until the quit making them.

That Bronco is nice! I would drive that as a DD anyday. The lines on that are perfect. Like it a lot!!

i tuned it a bit and replaced the fuel filter again! lol and it seemed to run alot better not perfect but pretty close,
the bronco guy actually my coworker is from aurora co! he bought that for 1200

it runs real real nice 400m 4spd with 1st being granny dana 44 front n ford 9" in the rear.. we cracked the original leafs the first time we hit sand out here so that was the "excuse" to buying leafs lol

hopefully here shortly my truck will look good as good if not better!! ;)

well it sat in a barn, fully drained no fluids the guy who owned it was in the airforce and was not returning home so he told his son to sell it well he sold it for 1200 bucks
he brought fluids and drove her home
