Armstrong tools?

Armstrong tool are very quality tools, would not hesitate to buy them myself. just dont have access to them round here so much. my craftsmen, snap on, husky, power built and mix of all kinds of different brand name and cheap no name tools do me just fine. I think I even have a loose armstrong wrench or two.

Like rdn2blazer said, armstrong tools are quality. I believe they are mostly used in the machine tool industry, but you should definitely grab 'em if you can. Their logo is pretty sweet, a strong arm flexing!

As far as quality, I would compare Armstrong tools to SK or Craftsman Professional. They are good tools if the price is right.
Armstrong tools are a very old American tool brand. Today they are owned by Danaher (which also owns Allen, GearWrench, K-D, and Matco among others). They are listed in the NAPA tool catalog and any NAPA can order them. I have an Armstrong ratchet and I reach for it first.
We used Armstrong out on the flightline for a couple years. Needle nose pliers are crap, small diagonal cutters are crap, small screwdrivers are crap, scribe is crap, safety wire pliers are crap.
Wrenches are decent, it's hard to mess up a wrench.
I say all the previous tools are crap because I've broken them easily.
Now we're back to using snap-on tools. Much better performance.
