Who carries ARP steering studs for a D44? I am going to be looking for the stock height 3" variety. Who carries them beside ORD? I won't deal with them. I am looking for another retailer. Thanks

Harley

Just go to your local auto parts store and have them order them for you. What's wrong with ORD that you won't buy from them?

I won't order from ORD because of Customer Service problems that good friends/wheeling buddies of mine and myself have had with them.

Oh, i see. Did you deal with them over the phone or by e-mail or posting in the vendor section? I've dealt with ORD over the phone and have had no problems thus far. They have always been eager to help answer any questions i've had even if i wasn't purchasing anything from them that time. I however have left messages for them in the vendor forum that went unanswered for some time.

Anyhow, any auto parts store should be able to order those ARP studs for you. Usually it should only take a day or two for them to get. :thumb:

i posted a "do you guys have D44 studs from ARP?" question over on the ORD forum once... I have bought D60 arp studs from them in the past and really liked them. Wanted to get 'em for a 44... got no response whatsoever. Decided to go elsewhere. Me thinks they are swamped over at ORD land building doublers and working on primedia-rag trucks. no time left for us lil guys. ;)

ARP does sell direct. Won't be the best price (i.e it'll be list), but you can get them.

I believe Parts Mike sells them. Not sure of his site partsmike.com or something like that.

He sells GM studs in the 3" variety. I decided that I am going to stick with bolts for now. I talked to Sky pretty in depth yesterday about my situation and setup and he thought that was the best option also.

I talked to ARP yesterday. They are real into fasteners. I asked about the existance of 5/8" studs in any decent length. They looked up any listings in 5/8" and found nothing. Said I could get some custom made but without about 500 pieces it wouldn't really be worth it. Oh well.

We had them make some wheel studs for a English Sports Racer a couple years ago. 12 each of two slightly different types. Wasn't cheep, but considering what we were getting they weren't outrageous either.
