I'm replacing my front axles and spindle, hub, etc. Since I am also replacing the rotors and removed the hub, I wanted to replace the wheel studs with with ARP but I'm not sure what size I need and if ARP even makes replacements for these. I *think* the size is 7/16"-20 but I don't feel confident enough to just order them and find out. Did a search on jegs and found some from Dorman and this is what I came up with.

Type: Serrated Stud without Clip Head
  • Thread: 7/16"-20
  • Knurl Diameter: 0.472"
  • Underhead Length: 1.5"
  • Shoulder Length: 0.344"

Your info sounds right but have you entertained the idea of upsizing to 1/2x20? You're there anyways.

For 1/2” I would have to swap lug nuts I’m assuming and I just purchased a brand new set. Is it just the larger size = stronger?

All the arp studs I’m finding are too long, mostly for drum brakes I’m assuming.

7/16 are tiny baby studs. Jeep doesn't even use that small lol. Nothing wrong with them really out I hated them when I had them.

If I switch to 1/2” do I have to drill out my hub for the 1/2 to fit?

Yes.

Unless something has been made in the last couple of years I'm unaware of, the special design of the stud means there are only two options. Stock 7/16, or the 1/2" I give the part number to in the other thread.

Just going to stick with 7/16, they’ve worked this long and I really don’t want to get into drilling and didn’t lug nut sizes from front to rear.

Not going to do the read until I swap out the drums for discs. Was just hoping arp made a 7/16 stud but I’ll just go back with Dorman oem again

As many of these trucks are out there, one would think there to be other options than Dorman, but doesn't seem to be. Probably can get GM ones, but I haven't looked.
