ArtCarr vs Winters shifters

I need a shifter for a th400 with a full manual reverse valve body. Im looking for the mentioned above style of gateshifter. They both look almost identical and are pretty much the same price. Is there any reason to go with one over the other? Also do we have any vendors on here that have them, if I have to spend the money I'd rather it go to someone supporting the site.

I'm leaning towards the winters sidewinder with the rock crawler shift gates based solely on that I like the gate pattern.

Winters and Art Car are the same shifter.

I wouldn't buy anything from Art Car to save my life.

Check on Pirate for a vendor that might sell them. Poly Perf. rings a bell right now but i'm not sure.

Winters makes the shifter for Art Car. Art Car offers shifters for more transmissions then Winters because he has some of the brackets specially made. I have toured the Winters factory and been there quite a few times and they are great to deal with. I run their products in mine and have no complaints. The Rockcrawler shifter is nice so you can slam from reverse to drive easily. There is a little detent for neutral but you can shift past it with no effort.

If you call Winters they will probably refer you to us. We had that happen quite a bit because we will sell it cheaper then they do directly. Winters is great to deal with and they have a very impressive opperation.
