I'm not in the market to buy, nor build a 4400, but looking at their website, that chassis without axles is $3750. To me that seems like a good buy for someone starting from scratch and didn't have the means to design their own from scratch.

Their stuff is definitley pricey but they've managed to make some beautiful functional pieces. The epitome of function meeting form IMO.
