Arvin Meritor dealer? Big rig mechanic? Axletech guy?

rotors

well looking at the link you posted they at\re drums so in all my experince with heavy truck you should be able to take tire off and find a number on drum and go to heavey truck part store an cross it get what you want but they will be pricey 150-200 just because they are specity axle but good luck

Is that a factory option at all?

Where are you getting these axles anyway?

(You know, the funny part is I have a couple thousand of those axles at work...all under FMTV's.)

I got them from a guy locally. He got them from another goy that got them years ago but were too heavy for his truck pulling truck. He ususes custom aluminium housings. Guy I got them from thought they were a true planetary and would have a super high ratio to us with his 72s. Turns out they are 7.1, about half of what he needs.

The disc brakes was an option the military never took. So, there is nothing out there. But it is possible, and from the factory... Which gives me high hopes.

Interesting. Wonder where they originally came from?

Yeah, could be, or maybe time to start fabbing?

You can see the axles pop up on gov liquidation every once in a while. But, this guy got these years ago... so, no idea how he got his hands on them.

They use a standard big rig pattern, so I am hoping something will match up.

Yeah, might have to get inventive like the Suzuki guys and those not supported on the market...only in 3XL size. I know the drums are friggen' huge on them.

Yours have a LS or anything in them?

No limited slip or locker. Gunna weld them.

Arvin Meritor has a good catalog of rotors. I will start there. Also look at F450 and F550 rotors.
