I've noticed in previous posts diffrent denotations of engines such as LS1, L31 and the like.

I know(at least i think I know) that the LS1 and LT1 are corvette and camaro motors and stuff like that. What does this stuff mean?

Anybody got any good links on where I can go to read up on this stuff?

Please dont flame me to badly my oh wise ck5 bretheren.

LS1, LT1 are RPO codes for engines. If you look at a RPO decoder it will tell you which each one is. Also Mortec.com has info like bore and stroke etc..
