hey yall

this past saturday I went to a farm auction and hit the junk jackpot!

for a grand total of $55 I bought: 4x4 th400 tranny, 3 wheels, a set of sbc heads, bbc headers, glass-packs, 1970 gmc.

The truck is some redneck toy, so I had to have it.

1970 gmc cab with running 350, granny 4spd, and the rearend from a bus. I am trying to find some ag-treads for the back now just to increase the redneck-ish of the whole thing.

well, my area sucks for finding anything at a decent price. I had to drive 100 miles(took about an hour, lol) just to get this truck that i will be picking up on friday. No one here sells anything cheap, and gas is like 2.50 for regualar. MY location is great for everything except for the price of goodies...

engine ran last night, i just need to get it timed and find a cheap way to wire it.

Can I run a 1 wire alt. back to the battery and the dist through the ign switch?

Should work. I did that tho the distributor wire is coming off the starter solonoid. I had a brain fart and wired choke straight to battery. Then kept wondering what was draining my battery.

To make things worse I used a carb (new-reman) that I traded 2 bald tires for! Then a radiator I had from a parts truck
