Was on the way to work this morning and couldn't resist getting some video of the truck accelerating. I used the camera strap to hold the camera, so don't worry, was being safe.

Now don't go laughing at the crappy steering wheel - I've got a different one that will be installed at some point. And as for having both the 4 on the floor and the 3 on the tree shifter, well, haven't gotten around to yanking the old column in favor of the tilt that I have ready.

The first clip is larger but ya get to watch the tach. Gets a bit bouncy once I get into 4th gear.

Well, not sure how fast it actually is, it is so dang heavy, has to be right at the 6,000 lb mark now that the bbc is installed. I was behind a new Toyota Tacoma last night that had badging showing it had the 5.6 engine. Anyway, he got on it and I was definitely gaining on him. So at least I know I'm faster than one of those. Not bad for a 36 year old truck

zeroz400 - your about the 5th person who has said the truck sounds "mean" - I've got to get someone to drive it so I can have them get on it going past me. Gotta like a mean soundin' truck.
