Audio Guys - post up ultimate sound sys. ideas for my \'burb.

Tired of old Sony system. Sony player, 6x9's,4" coaxials in front doors. Need lowend. Have a sub in my wifes cargo area, works great. Need idea's...this ain't my specialty. Budget depends on desireability of system.

Well I have a big system in my K5 that consists of a Panisonic deck, JL audio 6.5" and 5.25" speakers powered by an Arc Audio CXL4500. My bass comes from 3, 10w3v2's powered by an Arc audio CXL 2500 amp. Sounds great, extremely loud, and crystal clear.

First off determine how good of quality your Sony stuff is and if it is good enough to keep and just add other stuff to the complete system. Keeping the 6X9's and replacing the coaxleswould help save some cash. I would replace them with some 6.5" quality speakers. Use an amplifier to power the speakers instead of the deck, those 6x9's would probably come alive because using an amp instead of the deck makes a world of a difference. How much room do you mind to lose in your burb behind the back seat? A 2x12or10 box would sound nice. I am a big fan of JL audio and their W0 line of products are a great balance of economy & performance.

[/ QUOTE ]You would need way more power to run 3 12w7's. Heck I'm runng 1100 watts from my Arc Audio 2500 to (3) 10W3v2's. A W7 could handle a 1000/1 all by itself.

I have 15 punch 15s running of a 30*2 amp... /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

They are loud and sound great.

The amp is a 60IX DSM rockford Fosage. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif I have a 200 IX DSM to put in i just have not ran the 4G wire and i do not think the 200 would like the 8g.
