and i was wondering if anyone else has used one and could tell me how to calibrate it? the way they tell you seems like a REAL PAIN. anyhelp is appreciated! :thumb:

Did you get the one with pick up sensors on the alternator?
If that's the one I haven't used it yet, but I have the alternator with the sensors on it that I got used from someone.
I will be watching this thread. :dunno:

... this is the only time i wish the truck was a gasser! and yea it has a strap that goes around the alternator. il get pictures or everything and the instructions tomorrow if i remember.

Honestly, unless you've got a hard-on for the analog gauge, I'd return it to Summit if possible and get a diesel Tiny Tach.

They're dirt simple, accurate, no calibration required, and have built-in hour meters (total elapsed engine time and service interval timers with alarms)...and they're $45 less than the one you have.

yea im probly going to do that... hmmmm i wonder if i can use that peice that wraps around the injector line for the autometer one? i may try to make sumthin work without ruining the tiny tach

Yup - you'll need 1/4" transducer for the 6.2L injector lines.
