Came across another K5 (86) to possibly purchase. It has a 700 in it ,but was wondering how hard it would be to put in a NV4500? Is there alot of cutting of the floor involved? Trans mounts?

There are quite a few people who have done it so I can say it is doable. However, I have not. I will be soon. The only floor trimming I have heard mention of is to get the shifter through.

The only thing I can forsee about it is that you'll need a 32 spline transfer case.

Atlas time. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Pretty straight-foreward. Cut a hole for the shifter, drill new holes for the x-member. Hook up a clutch pedal. The only trouble I'm having is that I can't figure out where the wires are for the park/neutral safety switch since I swapped out my auto column when I did the tranny. I've got power but no starter.. doah! /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
