I found me another chevy for a ggod price but says needs tranny rebuilt. But my question is. What is the difference between a 2 by and a 4bys tranny both being 350 trannies. If i got the truck could i just change the tail sections out on the two since i have one for a 2by in my yard or is this not possible. I know very little about auto transmissions. This truck has a 203 w/part time kit. But anyway can i swap tailends of these two trannies or will i have to pay and get someone to rebuild this tranny if i buy this truck?

the output shaft is longer on the 2wd than a 4wd and won't interchange without swapping the output shaft of the tranny to a 4wd shaft.

Not Only Will The Shaft Have To Be Swapped Out The 2wd Tranny Case Is A Lighter Duty Case 4 Wd Case Should Be A K Case Built Stonger Than The Other
