Allright fellas, I need a little help? 90 K5, Stock Axles. My wheel bearings have gone out and I need to change. I am stuck with getting them apart. I am almost down to to were I need the socket. I can see the 4 prong nut but I still have the to prongs that face forward and get figure how to get it out. I have just removed the second spring?

Please help, If I ever get'em off I've got some manuals to put back on.:dunno::doah::doah::doah:

You need the special 4 prong hub socket.

Remove outer 4 prong (spindle nut)

Remove lock ring

Remove inner spindle nut

I believe there is a large washer behind the inner nut.

if the brake caliper is removed everything should come off the spindle at that point.

Here is a tip

Remove outer wheel bearing. Slide the hub back on the spindle. Reinstall a spindle nut. Now firmly pull outward and it will pop the wheel seal out along with the inner bearing nice and easy! :waytogo:

Gotcha, I can see the 4 prong spindle nut but the piece just before that that has two prons pointing at me. I cant get it out to get to the 4 prong spindle nut?

Snap a pic and post it here for us to see. Like Brian said, once the auto hub is removed you should only have a outer spindle nut, washer with a bunch of holes, then an inner spindle nut.

Yeah, I've definatley gotta figure out how to post pics. These prongs were at 3:00 and 9:00 and I had to spread'em out to pull a piece out.
