I posted this here because the NBS forum doesn't get much traffic. I noticed the front drivers side shock leaking on my wife's 04 K2500 Suburban. It's a LT with autoride. What are my options for new shocks? I've heard the autoride feature can be a pain in the ass to deal with.

You can get Bilstein conversions, but they cost as much as new Autoride shocks. The air bag shocks are really hard to find used (good ones), but I think those are only in 1500s. I see sets of good used Autoride shocks come up on CL and eBay from time to time - that would be the easiest thing and probably cheapest.

The coil can be simulated with a resistor. You can get those of eBay or get some connectors and make your own for a few bucks.
