I was wondering if anyone is using the Autoxray 7000. I picked up a brand new one, still in the box from a closing shop in town for 100 bucks. It has all the wires, software the battery tester attachment and even the plastic on the screen. I'm working on a 98 GMC Sierra and trying to set the cam retard but i can't find it. I see all the other live data to include ignition timing. Does anyone know if this is the same thing as cam retard. The truck is at 31* ignition timing now. it starts great and runs great with a slight misfire at around 3000 rpms. The 7000 did great in helping me diagnose the other 10 codes. Now i'm just getting P1345 which has to do with the cam position sensor (new) or position of the dizzy (which i verified several times). i need to get the cam retard to 0* to see if that will turn off the SES light.

Also, does Innova eqqus 3140 or 3160b read cam retard? and lastly any suggestions on laptop software for obd's like autotap. :dunno:

i kinda like my Snapon Solus pro elite. the boss picked two of them up for us to use. i can cut individual cylinders off reset individual systems monitor how warm the heated seats are getting. basically if the car controls anything i can too on command. its good stuff
