Anyone know of an auxiliary cig lighter that has like 4 or so sockets and mounts to dash or whatever to be hardwired in? I could make one out of angle iron and drill some holes for lighters but if there was a nice clean setup that could be bought.

Check the accessory isle at your local auto store. Sometimes they have those. Or check an RV store/online. they surely would.

Havent seen that, but have seen ones that plug into the factory one and splits to 3, seen that on the 'ricer' aisle at walmart

yeah seen the basic ones, want something more bolt on. Prob going to have to make my own but want to wire 2 to keyed on and 2 for 12v constant so I can plug in zune, sirius, garmin, phone, etc.

searched around google and ebay and mostly found are the self contained units with a plug to plug in which could easily be cut and spliced and no real mounting points, justs sits there, which could be double stick taped but with the driving style that wouldn't last long

I was just looking in the catalog at work today for this same thing. I don't remember the brand but there is one available with 3 outlets on it. My pricing was $21.00 for it. I really did not like it because it's all plastic. I ended up hitting the wrecking yard and pulled 3 lighter sockets out of some trucks and i'm going to make my own.

Also, my experience with the aftermarket ones are that the socket is slightly larger and the item(s) you plug into it don't seem to make a good connection most of the time.

Check JCWhitney.com
New or used and angle iron might be your best bet. Esp if you can weld. You could make a nice little box for them.

I got one at Autozone with four outlets for my pickup . It is supposed to be two per side pointing to each side of interior , but I glued it under dash with two pointing underdash , and two pointing to front seats . And I hardwired it in .

I use the rear cig sockets for the Sirius Starmate , and the front sockets to charge phone . And since they are now power in run , I don't forget to unplug anything and drain the battery .

Find yourself a local plastics place -- Yellow Pages, they're all over the place.

For a buck or two you can get a piece of 1/4" ABS, with one side textured and one smooth. It's easy to work with -- use your regular metal or wood drill bits, a Dremel, whatever -- and glues together nicely if you want weird shapes. it's easier to work with than metal, lighter, and you can make exactly what you want ... IMHO it would look professional, and get you exactly what you want.

I did a radio delete panel with switches for my '74 this way, but you could just as easily make a box or an angled panel and drill four ~1" holes (whatever the cig lighter sockets take) and voila! You can get the lighter sockets bare at the parts places, Radio Shack, whatever.

I've made aluminum panels before to cover holes and such, Radio Shack sells like box deals too, I'll prob just get some thin 2" angle and holesaw some holes into it.
