Looking for an aux power wire, think thats what its called, need a wire under the hood that has power when I turn the ignition on.

Going to start installing and wiring up my air horn today or tomorrow, need this power for the compressor, also, which wires are the horn wires that I can use so when I press my horn, the air horns go off instead??

Thanks

If you didn't already, look at the top of your fuse panel. Those empty terminals are "hot" at different times (some controlled by key position, some always 12V, etc) so that's what you'd use.

Plenty of holes already in the firewall, just thread the new wire through one of the wiring grommets before you put your connector on it, fuse it if necessary (those terminals are 30 amps) and you are in business.

Sounds like you'd want to use that fuse panel wire to trigger a relay though, I'm guessing a compressor needs enough juice that you wouldn't want to run that large gauge wiring from the fuse panel.
