Got a Chevy Avalanche the other day. 2010, Z71, LT, 5.3, 68xxx, loaded like crazy. Its got an oil cooler, a transmission cooler, the heavy duty tow package, 3.42's, the G80, power everything. anybody else got one?

I was going to buy a Silverado loaded down like this one... but the dealership I went to in Ohio was not aware of Ohio law (about military not paying sales tax). Even after reading on Ohio.gov that active duty is exempt, they wouldn't sell the truck to me until they verified with the BMV (who had JUST closed). so they lost my business.

My parents have a 02 thing has been ridiculously reliable. 170K still running strong.

1 water pump, 1 fuel pump and a front axle seal. Never has had a alignment, it drives straight.

The oil pan is starting to show some seepage and a half a quart low after 4k miles though. I figure here soon I'll reseal that and be done with it.

Awesome! Looks clean! I like it a lot!

That's a good deal not paying sales tax. Thank you for your service!

Beautiful truck, I looked hard at one of these before I bought my Z71 Tahoe, if I didn't need the extra seating I would have been in one, good score!

:D

2005

134k miles had to replace the transmission due to an overactive torque converter on the way back from a SoCal trip through the mountains, overheated it going in and out of lock up. I didn't have it in tow/haul mode, I wasn't towing anything but the truck had four people and the entire rear loaded up with luggage, so it was slightly weighted. Now I run tow/haul mode whenever I run through any mountainous area driving.

142k miles had a bad cam and lifter issue, ended up just rebuilding the entire engine for reliability.

I believe the fuel pump is getting weaker, usually have to let the pump run through it's prime cycle when turning the ignition on before starting, otherwise sometimes it won't start on it's first cycle of trying.

Been a decent truck, reliable when it wasn't having other issues, typical little plastic parts here and there in the interior need tending to after awhile.

I guess that would be it then, not sure where I got the burnt orange at.
