So I found a front drw 60 for 500 bucks, my question its how much is the average costs involved with swapping in a 60?
Thanks cody

Will you get ubolt plates with it?

Keeping stock steering or going crossover?

Staying drw or do you want srw?

Do you already have 8 lug wheels?

About $450 for NEW srw hubs, obviously a little less used.

Your push pull steering will work as well as the sway bar if you want to keep it.

Wheels are tricky. Depending on current back spacing they may work with some caliper grinding.

Brake hoses may have a different size fitting at the caliper.

Of course, all of this is plus maintenance and repairs (bearings, seals, rotors, etc)

You'll have to spend a bit over a hundred bucks to get a raised steering block for the steering arm if you're going to go with push pull. I decided it was worth it to spend the $400 that I did to build my own crossover instead, because I felt like it was a waste to spend all that money on push pull for a temporary fix.

Is it properly geared for your rear end?

I spent roughly 250 to get my axle under my truck. that was with the crossover arm, beefy tierod, and draglink. Reused stock u bolt plates.

Of course a few weeks later i was buying bronze kingpin bushings, then after that wheel bearings, then a little while later a rotor, then i got hydro assist. etc, etc, etc.

What about gears and the diff? Keep or change?

I’m collecting goodies to bolt a D60 in my K10 now. Aside from the axle cost you can plan on another $400 to $500 gather all the condiments: spring plates, new U-bolts, different brake lines (new axle calipers are metric…my truck is SAE), raised king pin steering block, and new locking hubs. All that crap comes in right about $450 but could be closer to a $1000 if I decide to go with crossover steering. Luckily this D60 has the correct gear ratio but no traction devise.

Here is my D60 score from two weeks ago. Brand new D60 for $1200 right here off CK5 classifieds. :waytogo: Thanks Mosesburb for bird dogging the find and Snoozer and his bro for the good deal on the axle.
