Not sure if this is the best spot to put this, so feel free to move if need be.

For those not wanting to read all this, the point is avoid them, they do not cooperate and are a pain in the butt to get ahold of on the phone or email.

So a few months ago i was in the search for a rotating assembly for my 406 small block. I searched dozens of sites since im on such a tight budget, i finally settled on Skip White Peformance because i spoke with them and they were willing to let me mix and match and get the most for my money (i already had my pistons, but i needed rings, they said not a problem). All scat brand stuff. Anyway, I should have probably thought more of it then, but they were next to impossible to contact. I must have emailed them a dozen times before receiving a response and then when i would respond to them, i wouldnt hear back from them until i started again. This was getting me no where, so i then began to call. It took 2-3 times calling before i got a hold of a person (busy line, or just ring and ring), so then i got talking to someone and explained what i wanted and they told me they would take care of it and give me a call back with some prices. Well this never happened. I called back a couple times and finally got on the phone with the owner, he was fairly nice and optimistic of the whole thing, we worked something out and i put my order in. So i was back in a good mood. Granted this was literally a month after i originally contacted them, but the price was right that he quoted me and i thought oh well, dont have to deal with them anymore. So anyway the next day, i get a call confirming my order and they gave me a price higher than the one i was quoted, i questioned it and they said they mispoke the day before, so i said whatever, it wasnt too much more. Couple weeks later i get my assembly, i go through everything and its all there, and the receipt shows that i ordered an assembly without pistons but with rings.

Okay so that was the end of march. Then i start working on the block and painting it and then taking all my measurements and we get to this past week. Everything is going good and im feeling happy with my purchase, then i get to the point i need to install my rings they supplied. Come to find out, they sent me the wrong set, so i was upset at first, because im trying to finish the engine, but they i decided to call and return these for the right ones.

So now we are up to 2 days ago. In the past 2 days ive called them 6 times and they always tell me they will work it out and call me back in a few minutes and i never get a call back, so i call again and finally today i got to talk to the person that originally processed my order. I explained to her what was wrong (they are all sales reps and you can tell they dont understand), but she says she will check the warehouse and get back to me in a couple minutes. So i wait and wait, 3 hours later, i decide to call her back. She says she forgot and puts me on hold. 10 minutes later, she says she has the right rings and that i can buy them for 100 bucks. I told her that i would send the ones back that i have, and exchange them. She then tells me that i was never charged for them in the first place because she made a mistake and that she will not exchange them. I pointed out to her that i have the receipt right here and it has the rings on there and that even if she did mess up, that is on their end and they should honor the sale. After talking with her for like 15 minutes, I got no where and she expected me to pay for the rings that she didnt charge me for, and then buy a new set. I set the phone down and went back to work and she mumbled on for a couple minutes and then hung up.

I understand that they messed up, but its not my fault and i have the paperwork to prove it. I will never do business with them again and anyone who considers it should think wisely before going through with it.
