My GF's parents are about to move and while i was up helping them i noticed a brush guard and a 9000lb warn winch on the side of there house. i asked her father what he had planned on doing with it. he said he didn't know because it was on his old truck(89 silverado i think) which he just put a ranch hand bumper with a receiver hitch. so i asked him if he was not going to use it could i buy it off of him and he looked at me and said well didn't plan on using it and it has been sitting for a year now. i guess you can have it. asked him how much and said you can have it. so yay free winch. are the frame rails the same because i could use the bumper i would. also the only bad thing is i am leaving for OCS in 4 days and not have anytime to mount it up. oh well it will be a good project for when i get home. as well as the 6 inch lift and 37's, rear bumper and rock sliders. i got my plate full of little projects after i get back

COngrats on OCS. YOull like Quantico, its really nice. I spent 2 years there.

You must've been an officer. I spent 1.5yrs there as a non-nco more than 10yrs ago and still get cramps in my right arm just thinking about walking up and down the road there... It's not my fondest memory of my time in.

Nope, I was enlisted. It was my first duty out of MOS school (which happened to be at Lowry AFB in Denver COlorado. Being a Marine on an AFB had its benes, lol, lets just say AF chicks were easy) I was stationed there. I was a combat photographer MOS 4641. We were based there and would fly down to Cherry point alot. I had some of my pics on the cover of Leatherneck magazine, I photographed the deployments during the first desert storm in 1991, etc.

Nice. The only thing I ever got from my father-in-law was a ration of ----. Drove by Quantico once. Good luck.
