I have a 12 bolt open rear end under my 91 k5 from a mid 70s Chevy half ton, idk about first gen blazers and trucks, but anything 2nd and 3rd gen up to the year 1991 will bolt right in. It wouldn't hurt to purchase some new u bolts either
You'll probably end up having to run a conversion U-joint unless the donor diff you find is out of something very similar in year and drivetrain as your truck. My '90 Blazer had a 12 bolt from the '70's under the rear...1310 yoke on the diff, S44 on the driveshaft.
if you dont mind moving spring perches and shock mounts a 6 lug 14blt s.f from the 88 up trucks would be a great upgrade. If i had to go source a rear end its probably what I would toss in.
