Does anyone have information about the Axis Underdrive by Crawling Gear and if it will bolt to a 700r4 and np208 or 205? Are they still made etc!

Well, there are other options.

You have the traditional Doublers -- ORD, NWF, etc sell them -- which mate a rangebox from one transfer case (generally an NP203, sometimes an NP241) to a second case, generally an NP205.

You have the Klune-V box, which is pretty close to the Axis one IIRC ... or the Atlas transfer cases, for that matter.

Not sure what you're looking for, other than you seem to be excited or angry about it as you ended both your posts with a bang!

The Axis Underdrive was originally produced by a friend of John (JB Conversions) in Sulphur, LA. Apparently the project got sidetracked and the producer lost interest in the unit and dropped the project.

We have also produced a planetary gearbox known as the 'BlackBox' you'll find it on our website.

I'm not to sure what my buddy trying to do. He is going to be running a 383 stroker, ( th400 or 700r4 trans) dana 60 F and 14 ff R

I'm not to sure what my buddy trying to do. He is going to be running a 383 stroker, ( th400 or 700r4 trans) dana 60 F and 14 ff R with 4:56 gears and Np 205 case and 37X12.50X16.50 SSR and is worried about his gas milage to and from work and his local play ground 30 mile from his house. He thinking with out the over drive that the rpm will be high on the expressway! He saw the same posting here and was wondering what it did, if it was like the Gear Vender unit.
