I will be moving east to west across the country in May 2009. I don't currently have a place to store any parts, so I'd like to set up a deal ahead of time and have everything waiting and ready to go. I'll be pulling a flatbed trailer, so picking these up should be easy.

Item 1: D60 front axle, SRW only, 4.10 gears. If it's stock w/ original seals/bearings/etc I'd like it relatively inexpensive. I will consider axles that are already built if the price and components are right. No welded gears.

Item 2: STaK 3-speed or Atlas 4-speed transfer case. This is a long shot, but it's a lot of country I'll be covering and ya never know who's got an abandoned project.

Route is below, and will take place over the entire month of May. I'd prefer not to stray off the route much, but if the deal is smokin' we can maybe work something out.

My buddy in Denver CO almost always has D60's avaliable. I have one now but now wanting to hang onto it that long.
If you would, please, let him know about my plan. I'd be interested to see what he might want to part with.

There will likely be a couple on his rack waiting as long as he doesn't find a new occupation. I'll tell him but it won't make any difference cause everyone tells him they want a D60 and only a limited few actually buy.

I understand what he means - alot of folks see a D60 and say something like, "Man, I gotta get one of those" or "...how much you want for one of them things..." or "...someday I'll get one..."

I *hope* I'm a bit different in that I have the cash to buy one today, and have a real plan to get one (which includes taking my time in choosing the right one). I'm also already having the steel cut for a front 4-link that'll fit a D60. That plan means looking at some via emailed pictures/specs and making a selection before I start my trip.

I'm guessing you want a GM unit? Currently he has 77-87 GM 85-91 Ford Kingpin,92-97 Ford Kingpin,05-08 Ford HD,and I have a GM and a 94-98 Dodge.

Yes, I'd be most interested in a 77-87 GM unit. Any idea on what he wants as far as pricing?
