I put some 35s on my Suburban and have a pretty big dilemma facing me right now.

I use the Suburban for towing my ski boat and with the 35s and the factory 10 bolt and 14 bolt semi floater containing 3.73s it makes towing a pain to say the least.

I have my CUCV axles here which still need going through, lockers, gears, disc brake conversion and what not. I don’t want to get into that just yet so I’m thinking about gearing my current axle set right now.

These currently have the G80 posi in the rear and 3.73s in both. My question is what is the most gear I can get in there without any carrier changes? I’m thinking 4.56s on my 4L80E and 35s will pull hills pretty good and run the highway around 3000 RPM.

Any suggestions would be great.

4.56s will work. I know where you can get some Yukon 4.56s for the sf pretty cheap. :wink1:
