Axle info w/o a teardown

On the weekend I am going to look at a blazer a local guy is parting out...its a 92 that was in a front on collision. I'm interested in a few things off of it like seats, decals etc. but mostly I'm interested in the axles. So heres my question, is there a way to tell what gears and what kinda carrier is in the axles w/o pulling them apart? I'm assuming they will both be ten bolts. Also, I thought that 91 was the last year for the k5 body style but he swears its a 92? Are there any other goodies I should look out for given I run an '81? Any help would be great. thanx.

The name 'Blazer' continued on the new body style -- without removable top -- through 1994. 1995 saw it renamed the Tahoe.

I would imagine that most things will NOT interchange if it really is a '92, not least as those newfangled trucks are IFS.
