Long story short, I have a 78 stepside that I use to plow my driveway.
the rear axle is beyond repair. will a 10 bolt out of a blazer be a suitable replacement for the broken 12 bolt?

yep if same ratio in axle.

and the drive shaft yoke on the axle will be diffrent size ujoint. can get a trick joint for it.

otherwise swaps in place.

Thanks for the quick answer.

Do you have a part number for the conversion u joint?

I'm holding out for a 12 bolt axle but snow will be here soon so I need to be ready to roll by the end of Sept

Thanks again

Greg

if you wana i have heard you can swap the yoke from 10 or 12 bolt to the other .

never did it my self .

dont over tighten the nut for the yoke or you will mess up the crush sleve. or for best option new seal as always and also a new crush sleve.
