Nope. It just means at higher temperatures the 85w140 retains its viscosity. It's thicker. Any standard gear lube will work. 80-90, 80-140, 75-90. Use what you have, as long as its gear lube. If I remember correctly you're somewhere over seas? In a warm climate? If that's true try and run the thicker stuff. Like 85-140
No, you live in a very hot climate so its probably normal there. My CUCV lube order even says to run thinner stuff than 80/90 in temps below -10. I always use 80/90.
