Looking for ideas for axle racks. I have 3 ten bolts that are taking up to much floor space. I would like to make a rack to tare them down comfortably. I am up for wood wall mounted and steel roll around. When I start linking my next rig it would be nice to have the axles up off of the floor/ jack stands for final welding.

Mine are laid in the dirt behind the garage. I can get you pics if you want:D.

Seriously though, I too am interested to see what the brotherhood submits.

That's where I got the idea. I'd like to build something like that maybe for the wall then make an adjustable height one for welding moving/ mockup

At the junkyard we learned they take up less room if you put a bare rim on one end and stand them up,and tie them to the wall so they cant be knocked over..best to drain them first too,or put a metal pan under the rim..also makes moving them easier, you can roll them on the rim instead of muscling them around with a hand truck or manually..

We had made racks for them, but they proved to be a pain, when you had to move one that was sold we needed a few strong guys or the forkloader to move them,or use an engine hoist to get one off the rack...

I know you said you want something for multiples but this is what I made forworking on them Iit's a semi trans jack i dug out of the scrap bin at work that just needed a bolt replaced for the side to side adjustment on the lifting table on it. My stand bolts to it and the arms can be moved for different axles. I offset the angle that holds the axle tubes so I can use exhaust clamps to hold my axle in place. I've used it to build one of my axles and now on one I'm starting on. I know semi trans jacks aren't super easy to come by but at jacks are cheap and would work plus being able to set it high enough to just stand or sit is nice.
