I'm rebuilding a 14 bolt FF and am totally drawing a blank on the axle seal direction. I just saw it explained in another thread a few weeks ago, but I can't seem to find it.

You mean the seals that press into the hubs?
the seal has a spring on 1 side to hold tension on the seal lip.
just remember spring to hold oil/grease in to the unit.
so on your hubs for the 14ff it would be spring side down to the center of the hub.
and if you screw up and install it with the spring showing you did it wrong.

I was 95% sure that's how they went, but too cheap to pound it down and screw it up. Thank you 
sometimes to the seal with have out or something printed on the face that goes out.
