axle shaft swap ?????

I have recently acquired a 2wd rear 10 bolt with 4.56 gears and a aftermarket posi.

is it possible to convert this to a 6 lug bolt pattern without a lot of headache? can I just swap shafts and drums?

Was it another brand or did GM use narrower rear axles under the 2wd's?
