Axle Shaft/Ujoint question

I was reading this month's peterson's 4wheel mag and I read about the CTM ujoint and axleshafts... it says its for a D44, would these be interchangeable into a 10bolt?
If so, i wouldnt have to worry about breakage on shaft and joints... so then i'd have to watchout for carrier breakage?

At that point the very expensive to replace ring and pinion become the weak part of the torque chain. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I think it was Shaggy that blew 3 ring gears after upgrading the shafts, before finally going to a Dana 60. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

U Joint would be interchangeable, but you would have to order 10b axle shafts.....
