Where can I get Dana 44 axle shafts quick.

I think I need something a little stronger than stock. Is there something I can get that is cheaper than chromoly but stronger than stock?

Yes, warn makes shafts for a D44.

Are '88 10 bolt and '73 Dana 44 shafts interchangeable?

Nope, there is about or less than a 1/4" difference, I guess its enough that the snap rings and hub items wont fit.

Also (and I keep forgetting /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif) was it 88 or 89 that the 10bolts changed to 30 spine? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

4. D44 and 10B axle shafts are not interchangable. The D44 shafts measure: right - 36.13"
left - 18.31"
10B shafts measure: right - 35.46"
left - 19.15"

Why don't you try some Dana(Spicer) axle shafts, they

I just got a Dana Spicer shaft for $190. If I break this one it is time to upgrade.

moser made me custom cut alloy shafts for 260 a pair(rear) to my door for my rear 30 spl. 10b. they are supposed to be stronger than other companies shafts. i think they had a two day turn around after you order
