Alright. I'm gonna order the shackle flip for my 72 chevy from kert. I've never installed one of these before and am wondering (if any) what degree shims should i install to correct my pinion angle?? I would need something to compensate right??

Also what else would i need??

Thanks

It should be fine not many people add one after the flip it usually sets the angle right for you. Post a pic when installed.

I think it depends if you have a factory block that you are removing. The factory blocks usually have a slight taper built in. I had to shim mine down about 4-6 degrees. Actually I cut and rewelded my spring perches.

Cool. I just went out and looked and there isn't a factory block.

Another question though. Were the 67-72's shackle brackets all bolted on??

These are and it looks to have some small ass bolts as well  Just makes it easier for me when i go to change it. No griding the rivets off. I know the rear end was changed more than likely cause someone cut the e-brake cable and tied it up :doah: guess i'll have to order another of those as well. the cable that is
