axle/spring swap --will it work???

so i can get a full long bed 84 gmc 3/4 ton rolling chassis for 200 bucks, rebuilt front axle, 4:11 gearing front and rear, leaf springs, frame, everything but a body/motor/trans/transfercase. thinking of getting it and using the axles in my k5, just want to make sure the spring perches are the same width and that itll be a bolt in deal without needing anything too crazy. i figure the price is right so why not. anything i should know before i do this???

It should volt right in, but it never hurts to check the perch spread first. I cut up a GMC with C25 badges on it and found 1ton spacing on the rear suspension. The upside is that you could still use the other hangers if that happened to be the case, and the swap would still work.

A lot of guys will move the spring perches and shock mounts to make it work if it turns out to be a one ton axle. It should all be the same though. Don't know about the brake lines...
