axle swap question-newer rear disc axle into 97

So I have a 97 GMC with a 14 bolt. I was wondering if the newer factory disc braked 14 bolts can be swapped in. Do they share same spring perch width and shock mounts? I want to have the factory e brake with the rear disc

I've been seeing newer rear ends pop up on CL. even some AAM rear ends...which would be really
