Axle Swap

I have a 1987 Suburban, I'm trying to do most of the work myself and learn what I can. I desided to swap axles to dana 60 front and rear. My problem is that the forword pumpkin on the dana 60 is set to the driver side and the stock pumpkin is to the passenger side. Can this conversion be done? Can someone give me an idea of what I'm getting into and where to start?

You have 2 choices on this:

1 - Sell your front ford D60 and buy a chevy or dodge D60 with the passenger side drop

2 - buy a different tcase which will put your front driveshaft on the drivers side for the ford D60

I am probably go with the tcase. Any good sugestion to start? Stock tcase or is there somthing better out there? I also want to incorporate an ebrake on the tcase.

If your looking to case a driveline ebrake, then go with a 205

They are good yes, but if your going to use your current D60, you'll still need to get a Ford tcase.

in addition to the case youll need to most likely fabricate a crossmember for it unless you can find a x-member thatll mount a ford case in a gm truck...
