Axle swap

Axle swap. well i upgraded to the12 bolt rear and dana 44 in the front. i think i found my problem with the vibrations

here are the axles almost done. pain in the ass rusted bolts.

I don't see that u joint as suspect in your vibration problem, it was prob your muffler belt. Nothing like dealing with rusted bolts.

Wow, that seems like a lot of effort for a bad u-joint and possibly a pinion seal/pinion bearings... Why did you swap the front? A Dana 44 isn't an upgrade over a 10 bolt. Were the ratios different or am I missing something else?

well with the seal going bad and a u joint bad i would have to work on it and jim sold me his old 73 axles for 100 bucks for both of them. yeah the gear ratio was different and i wanted the 12 bolt rear. so easy (cheaper) to swap both for the right ratio. going to regear them this summer after the lift and and tires.
