Okay....tired of resealing the darn rear diff cover after each and every outing...and this time i installed a brandy new one from GM. Any body out there with 12 bolts running axle trusses let me know what brand and all and what you prefer as i am officially looking as of tonight...lol.

you might want to check your local 4x4 or race shop. They can fab one to your axle and get it done right the first time. Price is questionable so be sure to look around. Hope this little bit helps.

The old 12bolt I had had a ConFerr Superskid axel truss on it. When I twisted and granaded that axel the truss is what allowed me to drive it home in front wheel drive for 6hrs. The damn thing basically held the axel tubes to the pumkin, so with the drive shaft removed it still rolled fine. That poor 12bolt looked like it was smiling at you.
But! The Conferr does take away some ground clearence

If I was to doit again I would have a custome one made for the TOP of the axel and not the bottom!
Good Luck

Doug, Stephen Watson of Off Road Design has a top mounted one on the front of his 10 bolt, not sure if he has anything on the rear, but maybe give him a call. The top mount is a great idea of course for ground clearance issues.
