Where can one buy the little round axle vent filters? I want the original type that is no bigger round than the hose. I know you can use any small filter but I'd rather not.

I know these have been also referred to as one way valves, flapper valves, etc.

TIA

NO WORKY! I wanna see that info too!

If I remember correctly, the original ones aren't filters at all, they are simply a one-way check valve to let heat(hot air) out, and not let anything (water, dirt) in.

You don't really need anything on the end as long as the hose goes somewhere up very high so no water can get into the diff. If you insist on putting something on the hose then hit up the wrecking yards and take the factory plastic ones from the front diff line which is usually mounted way up high on the radiator support on the drivers side.

Thanks, but no thanks!

Sorry that first link didn't work.

Like I said, they're a little pricey. But the nylon body ones they have aren't that bad of a price, and they come with four feet of poly hose:

I love the Spider Rock Guards they make; I'll be getting some powdercoated red for my K5 to mount over my chrome diff covers. It'll look sweet... Full Spider rear, and Half Spider in the front. My Jeep buddies hate me :D.

Industrial supply..

Places like W.W.Grainger sell ones that have 1/8" pipe threads,(and other sizes too) for speed reducers and gearboxes, for less than ten bucks...
