Axles swapped U-joint and Driveline questions

I have a stock 1978 Chevrolet Blazer. I Swapped in a set of axles from a 1976 Suburban Dana 44 front 12 bolt rear. I went from 2.76 to 3.73. I have a vibration that I am pretty sure comes from the front driveline. (When I remove it it seems to go away. I am going to start buy replacing the ujoints. I want to replace them all. My questions are, First will I need a different u-joints? The dana 44 from the 76 is the first style so the steering stabilizer mounts differently. And the yoke needed a different type of bolting system. There rear axles seamed mounted exactly the same. Secondly could my angles have changed. Both trucks were stock so I figured they wouldn't but now I am curious. Thanks for your help guys I really appreciate(sp) it.

I forgot to mention that the Suburban was stock also. It had a 400 th350 203 Set up.

You went from a D44 to a D44 in the front?

Check the pinion nut and make sure it is tight.

Yes I went from a dana 44 to a dana 44. DO you know what the torque of the pinion nut should be?

Nope. Sorry. Someone here will get it for you.

Recently I had a slight vibe that was hard to find - turned out to be a worn out yoke. Maybe swap and torque yokes? If they are the same. I dont't know the D44 and definately not the different types. Do they look the same? A longer pinion/housing will change your DL angle.

So you ONLY did an axle swap and that was same'o diffs..... Hmmmmm. Maybe there are some other subtle differences.
