Axles

You can convert them using a 8 to 6 lug spacer adapter or by milling down the hub and axleshaft and redrilling the hub for the 6 lug pattern I believe.

Front axleshafts have no wheel lugs on them. The hub assembly has the lugs on it. You can convert a 6 lug front axle to an 8 lug front axle. The actual strength of the axle is not increased at all. The only difference is it has the 8 lug bolt pattern.

Only semi-floating rear axles (10 bolt, 12 bolt, 14b semi-float) have the lugs intergral with the axleshaft.

A 14bff axleshaft does not have lugs on it. The hub has them like. Front axles are also the full floating design like 14bff's.
