I know this question has been asked before but I could not access any of the site address that I found.

HOW CAN I TELL WHAT TYPE OF AXLES I HAVE ON MY CHEVY TRUCK? I BELIEVE I HAVE A DANA 44 FRONT AND 60 REAR. HOW CAN I TELL FOR SURE BY LOOKING AT THEM?
IT COULD BE A 10 BOLT FRONT BUT WHAT IS THE IDENTIFIER?

AHHHH!! TURN OFF YOUR CAPS!!

OK, if the rear has 10 bolts holding the cover on with two little triangles on the bottom of the housing then its a 10bolt. Same goes for the front. If there are 12 bolts on the rear, its a 12 bolt. If there is 14 bolts it is either a 14 bolt semi or full float. If its none of thse then it may be the 44/60 combo. I dont remember how to ID those.
 
I am not sure of the break for Dana 44s but the front can be a 44 or a 10 bolt. Since itis a half ton the rear is either a 10 or 12 bolt. No dana 60s.

then you've got a 10b rear and a 44 front. i don't think they had switched to the 10b front yet in 78 or 79 - someone correct me if i'm wrong. i know i've got a 78 d44 front under my rig.
 
So this hole deal was so you could peddle your crap?
Put it in for sale like everyone else has to. I hate people who show up to a forum and the first thing they do is peddle their junk. Atleast follow the rules.

This is not the first time I posted in this forum and was not trying to peddle my crap. I was just trying to clarify a question I had. Sorry if it offended you.

My post count shows at least seven, Nothing extreme. August I posted two threads. It was an honest mistake. Trying to get questions answered without no visuals is kinda hard. I am new at identifying axles and figured showing a pix of the axles would be better. Seems to me that most users from CK5 are from the west and would do me no good to try selling to a user out there. I am sure there are useres from the east also. My question is still in limbo but I reckon someone has there head up there ... Who are you anyway?

yeah I know but it is kinda fun ya know. But it was an honest mistake and was not intended as it was perceived. Might as well ask if anyone wants to buy my crap since evryone is reading this now.
