Just got back from roadtrip up to PA. I picked up a D60 and 14ff 4.56 gears from Wayne's friend, Rodger. No matter what Wayne says, you wouldn't believe this guys parts inventory. It was simply unreal. Must have seen 10 different D60, and twice that many 14ff sittin around, not mention drivetrains (1ton) and everything in between. Even got some door panels off a K5 for cheap. Just to let you know how good of guy this Rodger is, he not only loaded the axles up, but gave me plywood to reinforce the floor of my trailer, helped me nail down some wood to anchor the axles in, and then gave me his hammer, nails, and some wood to nail them down some more, if they moved around on the trip back. There is something to be said for good ole country folk.

$1500 for a open Dana 60 and $500 for a 14ff with a detroit. Also you can get a 60 with a trak lock for $1100.

What is Trac-loc? Some kind of locker or vacum activated axle disconect.

Keep it simple!

Its a clutch-type, 2-pin spider gear traction-adding differential.

The CUCV military trucks used these as standard equipment.

You can buy these at any axle and gear dealer. They cost approx. around $200.
