Got a pair of steering axles coming!

Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. Just wanted to share. Lol.

Wow! What's the ratio? Any idea on the diameter of the bolt pattern or brake assembly?

The bolt pattern is standard highway truck. 10 on 11.25". The disks are about that size too I think. 6.5:1 planetary hubs. Selectable lockers. Default to locked.

Cool. I was assuming the bolt pattern/rotors were bigger. 13xx:1 = CRAZY!

I think the ones coming are 6.8:1 overall ratio. But can't confirm until the show up. Disks are between 15-16" pretty thick though.

I have a bunch of them. Millitary surplus ones are around 6.75:1 ratio. 1.92:1 ring and pinion. 3.55:1 planetary ratio. Bolt pattern is 10 on 335mm. 90.5" wheel mounting surface distance.

That's the one. When he said 6.something. I thought that was the planetary. But that's over all. Seems not to bad I think.

They are considered high speed planetaries and are supposed to be good for continuous road speed. I also have a bunch of new in the crate axletech transfercases meant to go in Cougars if you need one.

This is one of them. http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=7364136

I don't know much about them. They are divorce mounted and use the same driveshaft flange as the axles. The crate says it weighs 505lbs.

There is a guy on pirate that works for axletech. He goes by the screen name 02rexwi. You could probably PM him and give him the part # 75451101a and he could probably tell you all about them.

That probably wouldn't work for me. For the size of truck I'm thinking about. Be good for a big truck though.

What tires are you planning on running? There are factory 24 bolt beadlock 20" aluminum wheels made for them if you are planning on running 20" tires.

20rim would be the ideal choice for tire options. I like the 335/85r20. I think it's Goodyear ?? I'd have to look it up again.
